The Fareham School of Gymnastics, which opened in January 2004, caters for girls and boys from the age of three who wish to learn the basics in the sport of gymnastics.

The Club also runs advanced and competitive groups. Gymnasts within these groups are selected based on their physical talent and mental readiness.

The vault, floor, trampette, bar and beam apparatus are just some of the exciting activities to be offered to all its members.

We are officially affiliated to the British Gymnastics Association (BGA) which is the governing body for gymnastics.

We are run by highly qualified and experienced coaches. In March 2008, the club was awarded the nationally recognised Gym Mark in recognition that the club provides a safe, effective, child friendly environment for the young gymnasts.

The Club gives all its members the opportunity to work towards and gain certificates and badges that are run by the BGA.

The classes will also include conditioning activities to build strength, dance, games to increase body awareness and co-ordination and stretching exercises, the main emphasis however is to have fun.

             Our Head CoachClare Parker:
Qualified British Gymnastics Club Coach and Judge

BSc Hons in Sport's Science: University of Chichester

Clare tells us: "Ever since the age of 6 I have been in love with the sport of gymnastics. I was a member of the Pegasus School of Gymnastics for 12 years and through hard work and dedication reached County, Regional and National Levels.

I began coaching at the age of 15 and in 2002 spent over a year and half at Port Regis School in Dorset working as a full time gymnastics coach within a specialist facility. I hope to share my coaching knowledge and passion with the members of Fareham School of Gymnastics".
